Snowboarding at the 2010 Winter Olympics

Dates 15 – 27 February 2010
Medal Events 6

The snowboarding events were held at Cypress Mountain, north of Vancouver, in the southern section of Cypress Provincial Park. But Cypress Mountain sits near the Pacific Coast and had been affected by the warm winter of 2010, and there was no snow there. The snowboarding, and freestyle skiing events could only be held by trucking in snow from northern Canada. Tickets for general admission in boardercross and parallel giant slalom were withdrawn from the public because the conditions along the course made it unsafe for the public to stand. Nine different countries won medals, with the United States leading with two golds, one silver, and two bronzes.
