There was only one event in literature at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. It had seven entrants from four nations. The gold medal was given to Georges Hohrod and M. Eschbach, purportedly of Germany, for the work “Ode to Sport”; however, the names were a pseudonym for Pierre, Baron de Coubertin.
