Cycling Track at the 1928 Summer Olympics

Dates 4 – 6 August 1928
Medal Events 4

The program was changed slightly from 1924 as the 50 km race was dropped, and the kilometre time trial was added. The track races consisted of the kilometre time trial, match sprint, tandem match sprint, and team pursuit, which would remain the track cycling program through the 1960 Olympics. The track events were conducted within the Olympic Stadium on a velodrome surrounding the running track. It was outdoors with a concrete surface measuring 500 metres. The four track events were won by four different nations – Denmark, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
