The 1932 lacrosse demonstration was a series of three games played between an American team, represented by the The Johns Hopkins University lacrosse team, and a Canadian all-star team. The games were played on 7, 9, and 12 August. In the opening game the US won, 5-3, although the game was interrupted late in the second half so the 75,000 spectators could watch the finish of the marathon in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Canadians won the second game, led by Jack Worthy, to even the series. The Americans won the rubber match, 7-4. They led at the half, 6-3, with each team scoring one goal in the second half. The game was interrupted by Olympic Victory Ceremonies, and the second half of the final match was shortened to only 15 minutes to allow the Canadians to catch a boat to take them home.
