Jochen Hecht

Ice hockey defender Erich Goldmann was a member of the German squad at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics that was eliminated in the group stage. Four years later at Salt Lake City the team was beaten by the USA 5-0 in the quarter-finals. In 2010 at Vancouver, the team lost all three group matches. In total, he won 58 international caps and scored 15 goals.

At club level, Hecht played with Mannheimer Adler (until 1998, 2004-05, 2012-13, and 2013-16), and in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues (1998-2001), Edmonton Oilers (2001-02), and Buffalo Sabres (2002-12 and 2013). He helped Mannheim win German national titles in 1997, 1998 and 2015. After his active career, Hecht became a hockey coach at Mannheimer Adler and worked with different youth teams and partly became an assistant coach with the German national team. He also occasionally commented as an expert for German TV channels.
