Biography

Zbigniew Woycicki was the youngest member of the Polish military ski patrol team in 1924. Four years later in St. Moritz, he had attained the rank of lieutenant and was leader of the team. He died only two months after the Olympics in his hometown Zakopane following an appendectomy. Woycicki was one of the founders of the skiing section, and member of the board, of his club TS Wisła Zakopane. He was considered as the best skier of the Polish Army after winning a number of military cross-country events.
