Sacit Seldüz was a basketball player who suited up domestically with Fenerbahçe SK and internationally for Turkey at three major competitions: the 1949 and 1951 EuroBasket and the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. In 1949, Turkey finished in fourth, while in 1951 they came in sixth. At the Olympics, the Turkish squad lost their qualification matches against Egypt and Italy and were eliminated from the tournament, ranking joint-20th overall; Seldüz took part in both games. He also played volleyball for both Fenerbahçe and the national team and, after his retirement from active competition in the mid-1950s, worked as a basketball trainer and coach with Fenerbahçe and Vefa SK.
