Biography

Luis Jaime Carvajal Salas, also known as Jaime, Duque de Aveyro, was a Spanish duke and equestrian. At the Spanish Equestrian Championships in the 1960s Carvajal won two national titles along with a silver and bronze. He competed in nearly 30 events at the Nations Cup from 1966 to 1979 helping the Spanish team to win three titles; one in Rotterdam in 1966, and two in Barcelona, the first in 1971, and the second in 1979.

Carvajal was part of the Spanish equestrian team that finished in seventh place at the 1972 München Olympics. At the 1979 Mediterranean Games he won a bronze medal in the team event along with Luis Antonio Álvarez, Juan Antonio de Wit, and Alfonso Segovia.
