Khalid Muhammad Al Zubair

Khalid Muhammad Al Zubair earned a business degree from the University of Arizona and then studied in the Owner / President Management Programme (OPM) at the Harvard Business School. His career was in business and commerce, especially with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Al Zubair became President of the European Economic Chamber of Trade and chair of the Oman-Turkey Businessman’s Council. He also started his own group of companies, the Zubair Group, and was managing director from 2010 and later became chair of Ominvest, an investment holding company in Oman.

In sports administration Al Zubair was chair of the Oman Tennis Association from 2005-08 and later became chair of the Oman Olympic Committee. He was President of the Oman Olympic Committee from 2013-18, during which time he was co-opted onto the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as an NOC representative. Al Zubair served on the IOC from 2017-19.
