Oman (OMA)

Oman formed a National Olympic Committee (NOC) in 1982, which the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognized on 28 May of the same year, at the IOC session in Rome. Oman made its Olympic début at Los Angeles 1984, where it was represented in shooting, track & field athletics, and sailing. Oman has competed in every Olympic Games since, but has never competed at the Olympic Winter Games.

Oman has never won an Olympic medal. Its best Olympic result came in 1988, when Mohamed Al-Malky finished eighth in the 400 metres in track & field athletics. This performance is followed by the 10th place of weightlifter Amur Al-Kanjari in the 2020 light-heavyweight class.
