Biography

Gennady Samosedenko was a Soviet equestrian who won two Spartakiads and competed at the Olympic Games. Samosedenko won his first Spartakiad in 1967, with his second victory coming in 1975. Along with Viktor Matveyev and Yevgeny Kuzin, he was part of the Soviet team that finished in 12th place in the team showjumping event at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Samosedenko won multiple titles both in the Soviet Union and internationally. From 1992 to 1998 he was the chair of the coaching council of the Russian Equestrian Federation.
