Biography

Damaris Muthee was a promising female long-distance runner. She won a bronze medal for Kenya at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore. She also competed at the East and Central Africa Junior Athletics Championships in Khartoum, Sudan. After competing for the country of her birth as a junior athlete, she switched to compete for Bahrain.

In April 2022, Muthee’s decomposing body was discovered in a house in Iten, Kenya, with an autopsy revealing that she had been strangled. Muthee was murdered in the same town as Agnes Tirop, whose body was found in October 2021.
