In 1962 South Korean cyclist An Byeong-Hun won silver in the road team time trial at the Asian Games in Jakarta. Two years later An was selected to compete in the road race and the 100 kilometres team time trial at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, finishing 24th at the latter. He had further success at the Asian Games, winning gold in the team road race along with silver in both the individual road race and team time trial in 1966 in Bangkok.
