In addition to his Olympic appearance, Hipólito Pozo won the 1966 Tour of Ecuador. His brother, Jaime Eduardo, did not compete at the Olympics, but was also a talented cyclist who won the Tour of Ecuador three times: 1967 and 1971-72.
