Biography

Olga Tsarmbopoulou was a Greek professional tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #117 in the world in August 1988, and a doubles ranking of #218 in the world, also in August 1988. Tsarmbopoulou played on Greece’s Fed Cup team from 1983 to 1990.

At the Mediterranean Games Tsarmbopoulou won a bronze medal in the singles in 1983 and a gold medal in the doubles in 1987 with Angeliki Kanellopoulos. Tsarmbopoulou won two singles titles on the ITF Circuit, the first in July 1984, and the second in June 1988. She competed in the singles at the 1988 Seoul Olympics where she lost to Mercedes Paz in the first round.
