Biography

Iliya Velchev was a Bulgarian cyclist who was active in the early 1950s. In 1952 Velchev was selected to compete on both the road and track at the Helsinki Olympics. While he did not finish in the individual road race, he did place 16th in the 4,000 metres team pursuit on the velodrome.
