Viktor Vershinin was a Soviet cyclist who was active during the 1950s. In 1953 Vershinin won his first national title with victory in the 100 km team road race. The following year he won another team title, along with third in 1956, and victory in the team competition at that year’s edition of the Peace Race. That same year he also competed in the individual road race at the Melbourne Olympics, finishing 35th. After his retirement Vershinin became a coach, writing a book titled Basic Training in Cycling in 1966.
