Biography

Roger Goossens was a Belgian hockey player who played at four Olympic Games – 1948 through 1960. He also won several Belgian Championships. In 1959 Goossens was given the National Trophy for Sport Merit. His sons became top Belgian athletes. Jean Goossens followed his father into hockey, while his brother, Thierry Goossens, was one of the best Belgian golfers in the 1970s and 80s.
