Biography

Carmen Raisová competed as a foil fencer at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. As Carmen Slabochová she won a silver medal at the 1938 World Championships. During World War II, she occasionally competed as Carmen Slaboch. She was the sister of 1936 Czechoslovak Olympic fencer Václav Rais.

Raisová-Slabochová was born in the Sudetenland and because her mother was a Sudeten German, she was forced to emigrate to West Germany after World War II. She later returned to Czechoslovakia, where she lived until her death (date unknown) in the village of Horní Jiřetín in the Most District of the Ústí nad Labem Region.
