Biography

Sally Pechinsky graduated from Peabody High School in Massachusetts and later attended New York University, graduating in 1972. She competed for the US at the 1967 World Championships and made the 1968 Olympic team when she finished fourth in foil at the US Nationals. She was coached by her Uncle Joe Pechinsky (1918-2011), and later married fellow American fencer Ed Ballinger.
