Biography

Épée fencer Hanns Jana won three team silver medals at major championships during his career with the West German national team. The first one was at the 1975 Worlds, the second came in 1976 at the Montréal Summer Olympics, and finally the third one was at the 1979 Worlds. For his Olympic silver, he was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award.
