Vittorio Lucarelli was a member of the Italian foil fencing squad that won the team event at the 1955 World Championships. A year later, they repeated their victory at the Melbourne Olympics a year later. He never won any international medals individually, but added a World Championship bronze (1957) and Mediterranean Games title (1951) to this tally before quitting his sport in the 1961/62 season.
