Paul Georg Cohn was born as the son of a Jewish wholesaler. After graduating in 1899, he studied law and earned a degree in 1904. He then worked for various law offices in København (Copenhagen) before he opened his own practice in 1908. Cohn was a company lawyer for several different companies and became a lawyer at the High Court. He was involved in collaboration processes after World War II, notably the Sehested case. Cohn married Thora Elisabeth Vita Bigum in 1924 with whom he had one daughter.
He was included in the Danish épée team at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm but did not compete.
