Nils Brambeck graduated from school in 1902 and became a second lieutenant in the Vaxholm Grenadier Regiment in 1907. In 1910, he was promoted to lieutenant and graduated from the Central Institute of Gymnastics in 1912. In 1921, he was transferred to the reserve with the rank of a captain.
Brambeck was entered in the two sabre events in the 1912 Olympics but did not compete.
In 1918, Brambeck was appointed technical expert in automotive engineering. As early as 1913, he became chairman of the Swedish Motorcycle Club, a position he held until 1927. From 1920-49, he was an inspector for motor vehicles, from 1948 onwards for the State Motor Vehicle Inspection authority. In addition, he acted as an expert for the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. Brambeck was appointed Knight of the Order of Vasa and received several medals and awards from automotive institutions, including the Fiat Gold Medal. He successfully participated in automotive endurance events.
Brambeck was an avid salmon fisherman, hunter, photographer, and made several trips to Africa. He wrote two books about these topics, Femtio år bakom flötet (Fifty Years Behind the Float, 1944) and Strövtåg med Ran and Diana (Wanderings with Ran and Diana_, 1957).
In 1909, Brambeck married Gerda Sofia Dorotea Block, with whom he had three daughters.
