Biography

Sofie Castenschiold played mostly for Kjøbenhavns Boldklub, known as KB. Castenschiold won the first Danish women’s singles title in 1906 and won it five times consecutively through 1910. Castenschiold won a silver medal in women’s indoor singles at the 1912 Olympics. She played Wimbledon singles in 1910-11, losing in the quarters in 1910.
