Biography

José Luis Elejalde was a Cuban footballer who competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. He also won a bronze medal at the 1971 Pan American Games with the Cuban eleven. In 1970 and 1974 he helped Cuba win gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games. Elejalde also played three matches in the qualifying tournament for the 1978 FIFA World Cup.

Elejalde worked as a coach in the 1990s with teams from his province. He finished his degree work in physical culture and later worked as a methodologist with the Provincial Sports Commission.
