Biography

Suzanna Wibowo was an Indonesian tennis player who played professionally from 1990 to 2006. Wibowo achieved a career-best singles ranking of #195 in the world in January 1991, and a doubles ranking of #90 in the world in April 1991. She played on Indonesia’s Fed Cup team from 1981 to 2003.

On the ITF Circuit Wibowo won three singles titles from November 1987 to November 1990. She had much more success as a doubles player, winning 22 ITF titles from 1986 to 1994, with 16 of those coming with Yayuk Basuki as her partner. On the WTA Tour Wibowo won just one doubles title when she and Nana Miyagi won the 1991 Pattaya Open in Thailand.

Wibowo won two golds, a silver, and three bronze medals across two editions of the Asian Games. She and Yayuk Basuki competed in the doubles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics but lost in the first round in straight sets to the German duo of Steffi Graf and Anke Huber.
