Biography

Juan Ríos was a Puerto Rican tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #261 in the world in October 1991, and a doubles ranking of #277 in the world in November 1987. Ríos played on Puerto Rico’s Davis Cup team in 1992 and 2004.

Ríos had his best success at the Central American and Caribbean Games where he won gold in the doubles and bronze in the team event in 1986, and won a silver medal in the doubles in 1990. He competed in the singles and doubles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics but did not advance past the first round in either event.
