Biography

During the 1950s and 1960s French footballer Freddy Zix spent most of his career as an amateur player with various clubs in and around the Strasbourg area. In 1969 Zix won the Championnat de France Amateur trophy with CS Pierrots Strasbourg. He also played in 23 matches for the French national team, winning gold at the 1967 Mediterranean Games. One year later Zix captained the side for the football tournament at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.
