Biography

Katarína Studeníková was a Slovak tennis player who played professionally from 1992 to 1999. Studeníková achieved a career-best singles ranking of #31 in the world in December 1996, and a doubles ranking of #62 in the world in November 1995. She played on Slovakia’s Fed Cup team from 1994 to 1998.

Studeníková won her first ITF singles and doubles titles in March 1991 in Putignano, Italy. She won another doubles title later the same year and six more singles titles between May 1992 and December 1997. Studeníková’s best Grand Slam performances came at the 1995 US Open and at Wimbledon the following year when she made it to the fourth round in the singles. She competed in the singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but lost in the first round in straight sets to Ai Sugiyama.
