Biography

Rolf Maartmann played together with his twin brother Erling as an attacker for the club Lyn from Kristiania (now Oslo). He joined the club in 1905 and won the Norwegian cup four consecutive times (1908-11). At the 1912 Olympic Games, Rolf Maartmann represented Norway in the matches against Denmark and Austria, both of which were lost without scoring a single goal. He won a total of eight caps from 1911-15 and scored twice. Both brothers played in exactly the same international matches. Rolf was active until 1919.

He studied economy and later worked as an accountant for the life insurance company Norske Liv. He married Margit Bøhn in 1920. Together they had two children.
