Biography

Slovak footballer Dušan Bartovič began his domestic career with Jednota Trenčín in the Czechoslovak First League in 1965. Bartovič remained with the club throughout his career, making 146 appearances for the side, scoring 17 goals. He represented the Czechoslovakia team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, playing in the matches against Guatemala and Bulgaria in the preliminary round of the tournament. Bartovič made his full international début for the national side in October 1970 in a UEFA qualification match against Finland. His second and final international appearance came later the same month in a friendly match against Poland. After he retired from his playing career in 1972 he turned to coaching working with youth teams and senior teams from the lower leagues.
