Biography

Bill Conterio played football (soccer) for the United States at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics, as a midfielder. He graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago, where he played soccer (football), tennis, and wrestling. Conterio captained the soccer team and led Schurz to two city championships, and was twice named an All-State player. Conterio played for the Chicago Falcons in the National Soccer League. He later worked for Stalford Chemical Company in Omaha, Nebraska.
