Biography

Born in Kansas to John Edgerton Vernon and Elizabeth Whaley Vernon, Orien Vernon played both singles and doubles at the 1904 Olympics. Newspapers of the time describe him as from Kansas City. He later died in Michigan. He married Katherine Lilley, by whom he had two children, Vinton and Dean.
