Gymnast Oscar Näumann participated at the 1900 Paris Olympics in the individual all-around with an unknown result. He was affiliated with the TiB Berlin club. Even before World War I he switched from gymnastics to athletics coaching Olympians like Arthur Hoffmann and Alex Abraham. After the war he worked as a trainer for the Deutscher Sport-Club (later renamed OSC Berlin) and the women’s section of the SC Charlottenburg, both in Berlin producing several German track & field champions like, for instance, Kutti Weiß. He was a sports teacher until his death after a short illness.
