Biography

József Fekete started his career in 1940 at VII in the Levente Association. From 1944 Fekete was a competitor of Postás SE, and from 1951 to 1956, Budapesti Honvéd. From 1947 to 1956 he won the national team championship seven times.

Between 1946 and 1954 he represented the Hungarian national team fourteen times. He won a bronze medal at the 1948 London Olympics and was a member of the team that placed sixth in Helsinki in 1952. After his retirement, he worked as a coach of the Honvéd for two decades.
