Biography

Ivaylo Kirov played with the Bulgarian national team from 1968-75, which was 10th at the 1968 Olympics and 6th at both the 1971 and 1973 European Championships. At the club level, Kirov played with CSKA Sofia and won national titles in 1967 and 1977 and Bulgarian Cups in 1973-74, and 1977-78. At the Bulgarian basketball 90th anniversary celebration, Kirov was selected as a member of the best Bulgarian lineup of the 1970s.
