Biography

Serbian handball player Radisav Pavićević represented RK Crvenka for 15 years, winning the Yugoslav Championship in 1969. During the 1970s Pavićević also played in 116 matches for the Yugoslavia national team, scoring 376 goals. In 1974 he was part of the team that won bronze at the World Cup in East Germany, before winning gold a year later at the Mediterranean Games in Egypt. Pavićević was selected to compete in the handball tournament at the 1976 Montréal Olympics where the team placed fifth. Three years later he won another gold at the Mediterranean Games, with the competition being held at home in Split.

After his long career with RK Crvenka, Pavićević moved to Germany where he represented several clubs throughout the 1980s. After spending two years with SG Dietzenbach he then joined HSG Wülfrath/Ratingen, helping the club to gain promotion to the first division in 1984. The club then changed its name to TuRU Düsseldorf, with Pavićević reaching the final of the DHB Cup with the team in 1987. He returned to Yugoslavia in 1990, once again playing with Crvenka before ending his career a season later with RK Vojvodina.
