Biography

Educated at Radley College, Terence Rosslyn-Smith joined the Bank of London and South America from school, before working the Seaman’s Christian Friends Society in Cork, Ireland. Rosslyn-Smith was cox to the Molesey Boat Club that beat Oxford University to win the 1960 Grand Challenge Trophy at Henley. That same year, he coxed the Great Britain fours at the Roma Olympics but they were eliminated after finishing third in their repêchage heat. In the 2003 Queen’s Birthday Honours list, Rosslyn-Smith was awarded the MBE for services to disadvantaged people.
