Yevgeny Morozov won his first Soviet national rowing championship in 1950 and, two years later, was selected to represented his country at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. There, he was eliminated in the semi-finals repêchage of the coxed pairs event, alongside Viktor Shevchenko and Mikhail Prudnikov. Although Morozov remained at the Military Institute of Physical Culture, this was his only major international appearance. He was more notable, however, for his five decade-long coaching career, as he founded a rowing school and trained dozens of national and international champions, including Nina Frolova. He earned numerous national distinctions for his contributions to Soviet, and later Russian, sport.
