Biography
Nikola Stipaničev was a Croatian rower and coach. Stipaničev was born in Tribunj and began his rowing career in Split. Stipaničev represented Yugoslavia at the 1960 Roma Olympics in the coxed fours. The Yugoslav team finished in fourth place in their heat, and in third place in their repechage heat. Stipaničev was part of the eights team that competed at the 1976 World Rowing Championships.
From 1992 onwards Stipaničev coached young rowers. The under-15 doubles team were two-time champions of Croatia. In 2019 Stipaničev was awarded with a lifetime achievement award by the Split Sports Association.
