Biography

10 metres air rifle shooter Hans Riederer won bronze medals at both the 1988 and 1992 Barcelona Olympics, representing West Germany and re-unified Germany respectively. In 1996, he competed at Atlanta but placed only tied 18th. In 1986 and 1990 Riederer won four gold medals at the World Championships (in both individual and the team events).

Riederer was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. He later turned to coaching at München. By profession, he worked with the biggest telecommunication company in Germany.
