Biography

Born in England, George Harvey came to South Africa already during his childhood. In 1902, he married Margaret Short. Together they had four daughters and two sons. He competed at the 1912 and 1920 Olympic Games in various military and free rifle events winning silver with the South African team with the military rifle, prone, 600 metres.
