Biography
German diver Karl Schumm finished sixth in the platform event at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games. He only started after his friend Heinz Plumanns renounced his start position as Schumm had missed the Olympic qualifiers. No other results from his diving career are known. Schumm later became a dentist in Cologne.
