Brian Farlow was a breaststroker and medley swimmer who competed for the US Virgin Islands at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He also swam at the 1982 World Aquatics Championships.
A native of Syracuse, New York Farlow graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point in 1987. After his West Point obligation, he obtained a law degree from Albany Law School in 1995, although he eventually served 27 years in the US Army, serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 2003 he accepted a battery command with a basic training battalion and served with the 2/355th FA, 1st Brigade, 95th Division (IT), deploying to Afghanistan. He was later appointed to the Army’s Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG Corps). Farlow was honorably discharged from the Army in 2016 at the mandatory removal date. His military awards include the Bronze Star and a Meritorious Service Medal.
Farlow was licensed to practice law in both New York and Texas. He has practiced at Bickel & Brewer, Gruber Elrod Johansen Hail Shank (initially Elrod Trial Attorneys), and Jones Day, specializing in commercial and business litigation.
