Biography

Elizabeth Ryan swam the heats of the 4x100 freestyle relay for the United States at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. She made the team by placing sixth in the 100 freestyle at the 1936 Olympic Trials. Ryan swam for the Women’s Swimming Association. Ryan was US Champion in the 100 freestyle in 1937. In 1938 she helped the Women’s Swimming Association win the US title in the 4x200 freestyle relay.
