Biography

Dörte Stüdemann was on the East German volleyball team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics that won the fifth-place match against Brazil 3-1. She also won the European Championships in 1987 and was silver medallist in 1985 and 1989. In 1986, Stüdemann participated in the World Championships.

In total, Stüdemann won 229 international caps with East Germany. She played for SC Traktor Schwerin, renamed Schweriner SC after German re-unification. Later she moved to 1. VC Vechta. By profession, Stüdemann worked as a co-ordinator for boxing, cycling and volleyball at the Regional Olympic Center in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
