Marco Negri was an Italian volleyball player. He boasted a long career in Italian clubs and on the national team. He played in the First League from 1973-89, including with Lubiam Bologna, Denicotin Cesenatico, Ipe Parma, Edilcuoghi Sassuolo, Santal Parma (where he won two European Cups, two Italian titles and two Italian Cups in the 1980s), and finally Burro Virgilio Mantova.
Negri débuted with the national team on 24 September 1975, losing a friendly against Poland (1-3). He competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, where Italy took part in Olympic volleyball for the first time, and at the 1984 Los Angeles Games, where he earned a bronze medal at the end of the match against Canada (3-0), which was also his last with the Azzurra jersey after 244 caps. In-between he was also among the winners of the silver medal (under coach Carmelo Pittera) at the 1978 World Championships held in Roma.
