Biography

Mircea Tutovan represented Dinamo București for most of his career and was considered as one of the greatest volleyball players from Romania. Tutovan is credited with revolutionising the sport in the country through the power of his serve. With Dinamo București he won the European Champions Cup along with ten national titles. For the national team he played in more than 300 matches, winning bronze at the European Volleyball Championships in 1971 and 1977. Tutovan was also part of the Romanian team that finished fifth at the 1972 München Olympics.
