Biography

At the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, the German water polo team beat Romania 8-4 in the qualifying game, but then lost all three matches in the group stage against Hungary, Soviet Union and Egypt, and was eliminated. Goalkeeper Günter Heine was a team member. He played for SSF Barmen Wuppertal in West Germany.
